BIOIGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
DR. RICK L. CARTER
Dr. Rick L. Carter is a native of Alabama, born to Kirby and Gladys Carter on October 3, 1949, in Andalusia. Dr. Carter was saved on March 14, 1965, in a Sunday evening service. After graduating from high school, he attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO.
Dr. Carter’s education includes a Graduate of Theology degree from Baptist Bible College, a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree in Christian Education from Freedom University in Orlando Florida, an earned Ph.D. from Faith Baptist Bible College in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Baptist Bible College.
Dr. Carter served in Springfield, Missouri, as the Executive Vice President of Baptist Bible College for four years and continues to serve as Vice President. Prior to his tenure at the college, Dr. Carter served as the pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Gulfport, Mississippi for 21 years. He also planted the New Testament Baptist Church in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and has served as an Associate Pastor, a Youth Pastor, Children’s Church Director and Bus Director.
Dr. Carter is currently the Senior Pastor of Canyon Creek Baptist Church of Richardson, TX; where he has served for five years.
The church supports over 200 missionaries with a current operating budget of over 2 million dollars.
The Carters have three children and five grandchildren.
